Rob Dial Jr is a motivational coach and teaches people how to grow their businesses. I learned of him by listening to his podcast called the Mindset Mentor on Spotify. I hope to emulate his life skills which allows him to do what he does. He has a strong drive/passion for what he does, mastered a work/life balance, and he inspires people to accomplish their goals, all of which I hope to do one day. Since I don’t want a career as a life coach, I plan to use all his skills that he teaches with my own path. I’m not focused on growing a business but more so on having an impact on my future clients since I want to go into marketing. I couldn’t find what school Dial went to, but I saw he started posting motivational YouTube videos about seven years ago. It didn’t have a lot of views but considering his Podcast today is the Itunes #1 Motivational Podcast, consistency is key to success. I also like that his podcasts give advice on how one could reach their highest potential, the question I ponder.

The other role model is Alexandria Ocasio Cortez who is a Congresswoman in New York. Cortez graduated from Boston University with a degree in economics and International Relations. The part of her life that I hope to emulate is how passionate and dedicated she is to her job. From introducing the Green New Deal, fighting for women’s and LGBTQ rights, and her passionate speeches in the House, she is truly inspiring. Being a woman in the public eye under constant scrutiny over her looks or Fox News taking her words out of context, I hope one day to be as strong as she is and to not be afraid to speak up even if that means I will be scrutinized. For what I would do differently, I don’t want to be a Congresswoman because it isn’t for me, but I want to be a strong business woman. I believe Cortez has reached her highest potential because she is doing what she loves, even though it’s nowhere easy, and is able to speak her mind freely. Throughout my life, I want to work on saying what needs to be said, even if it means I won’t be well liked.
